BEACHES

GOLDEN TRIANGLE
In the past this was a centre for opium production but is now more a tourist curiousity and a gateway for trade. The Golden Triangle is the point where the countries of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet at the confluence of the Nam Ruak and mighty Mekong rivers. The triangle refers to the huge golden sandbank in the middle of the river. Its a place steeped in history.
